Welcome to the Madani Schools Federation Examination Office pages. You will find information concerning both public exams and internal (non-exam) assessments (NEAs) including Key Dates, Exam Boards and the Student Examination Handbook which outlines rules and expectations for students during exams.

The Department for Education (DfE) intends the Summer 2022 exam series to proceed as normal, but with a contingency plan in place should this not be possible. The Exam Boards have published their examination timetables, with GCSEs and GCEs taking place between 16 May and 27 June 2022.

Please note that Wednesday 29 June 2022 has been designated as the Examinations Contingency Day. All students must be available on this day to sit exams, should there be disruption to timetabled exams on a National or local level.

Our overriding aim is to keep students and parents/carers and staff informed, to support preparation for public examinations, or using a Teacher Assessed Grade (TAG) approach if public exams cannot go ahead.

Ofqual has published detailed information for schools, colleges and other exam centres regarding contingency plans should examinations not take place in 2022. The information can be viewed by clicking here.

Additional supports has been agreed (by the government) for students taking GCSEs.

In English literature, history, ancient history and geography will not need to cover the usual range of content in the exams – the exam boards have published information on their websites on how this will work for each of their specifications in these subjects. Students taking GCSEs in all other subjects will be given advance information about the focus of the content of the exams to support their revision

The advance information for GCSEs was published prior to 7 February 2022.

Students taking GCSE mathematics will be given in their exams copies of formulae they would in other years have to memorise

Students taking GCSE physics and combined science will be given in their exams a sheet covering all the equations they might need to apply in the exams
