A wide range of optional subjects are on offer to allow students to pursue their interests and give them a strong foundation for the future. Students at Madani are encouraged to pursue the English Baccalaureate (EBacc) pathway consisting of English Language, Maths, the Sciences, Modern Foreign Languages and History/Geography.
Oracy
Oracy is the ability to articulate ideas, develop understanding and engage with others through spoken language. In school, Oracy is a powerful tool for learning; by teaching students to become more effective speakers and listeners we empower them to better understand themselves, each other, and the world around them.
At Madani, Oracy is a key teaching and learning tool to support students to access the knowledge and skills required to be able to progress in each subject. We teach students to learn through talk and to learn to talk to support their progress towards direct outcomes like GCSEs but also more widely so that they are prepared for life beyond school.
